3/4 Mark Nigh Scrimmage 

Mark Nigh Scrimmage Description

 

Hello and welcome to the Mark Nigh Scrimmage.

 

Goals of the scrimmage

  • Train SSYL referees
  • Give Clubs an opportunity to train their own table volunteers  (Please bring your own table trainers.  None will be provided.)
  • Give participating teams a chance to have game like play in multiple scrimmages

 

Who

  • Primarily South Sound Youth League Clubs and teams will be invited
  • Other clubs outside of the SSYL may be invited to fill open positions not filled by SSYL teams

 

What

  • Each team who registers will get 3 scrimmages
  • We will give our best effort to match similarly skilled teams
  • All scrimmages will be on Saturday OR Sunday.  No team will have to play on Saturday and Sunday
  • There will be a SSYL coaches meeting beginning at 9 am
  • We will begin scrimmages at 11 am and end at 5 pm
  • We will stagger age group starts as best we can.
  • Each scrimmage will have 4-10 minute quarters, 2 minutes between quarters, and a 5 minute halftime
  • The clock will be running
  • Penalties will be normal time (Not 1.5 like a running clocked tournament)
  • Each team is allowed 1 Time Out per half.  (This is a learning opportunity for referees, coaches, time/score keepers and players.  We need to keep the scrimmages as close to a game like experience as possible.)
  • NO score will be kept
  • There will be concessions!

  • Saturday scrimmages will run from 11-5
  • Sunday scrimmages will run from 10-5
  • The location is Curtis High School

 

How Much

  • Each team will cost $120 and will have 3 scrimmages
  • Please pay this when you register
