Division of Teams and Selection of Coaches
The UPLC strives for the best experience for all players in the program. In doing so, we look for coaches and assistants that will provide a safe and fun learning experience that will leave the players looking forward to next season. For a variety of reasons, the UPLC cannot guarantee a player will be on a team with a specific coach. Our club continues to grow and we have multiple teams within several age groups. Team divisions are completed within the requirements of the governing lacrosse association, but these divisions inherently create challenges within our own club. The UPLC works with coaches, and families when it is appropriate, to divide teams that result in the best interest of our Mission Statement to grow the sport in a positive manner.
Registration Fee Refund Policy
Planning efforts for a lacrosse season start long before the first practice by a number of volunteers. Costs are incurred by the club for equipment, field reservations, uniforms, team registrations, etc. and are based on the number of registered players. Additionally, online credit card payments include a fee that is absorbed by the set registration fee. The UPLC understands that sometimes after registrations are completed circumstances arise that result in players not participating. However, in order to protect the financial viability of the UPLC, the following refund policy will be followed:
If requested in writing prior to January 1st of the season, a refund of the registration fee less $25 will be issued.
If requested in writing on or after January 1st of the season but prior to the first practice, a refund of the registration fee less $100 will be issued.
No refunds will be issued after the first practice has occurred for the team the player has been assigned to.
The UPLC is not responsible for failure of electronic communication requesting a refund, so please follow up with a phone call. Under extreme circumstances, as determined by the UPLC, the UPLC may issue a refund or larger refund than outlined above.
